Education and Academic Achievements

Dr. Mian graduated summa cum laude from Duke University, where he studied biomedical engineering and mathematics. He attended the HST Division of Harvard Medical School, a joint physician training program between Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He developed an interest in cognitive neuroscience, and his research was published in leading journals including Nature, Cerebral Cortex, and The Journal of Neuroscience. Dr. Mian completed his residency in neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and then a fellowship at Emory University. His subspecialty training includes a variety of minimally invasive techniques including robot-guided neurosurgery and laser interstitial thermal therapy.
