Brain Tumor

A growth of abnormal cells in your brain, is a brain tumor. Brain tumors can be benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous). They can form in your brain or start somewhere else in your body and spread to your brain. How your nervous system functions can depend on the size and speed of growth of the tumor.

Options for treatment depend on all the above. If the tumor is in a reachable place, surgery for removal may be possible. Radiation or Radiosurgery are other options that use high-energy beams to kill the tumor cells. With chemotherapy, drugs are used to kill tumor cells. Targeted drug surgery may also be recommended.
